The Prequels part

          I got into a bit of a rant in my previous post about sequels.  Forgot the "prequels" part, sorry to all two of you reading.  There are ways of making a prequel, for example: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.  It elaborates on Zack a character that played an extremely pivotal role to the story of FFVII, but not a big role.  This PSP game took that small, but important character and told his whole story.  Then there are great ways of prequels put into the sequel that in turn explains everything.  A prime example is in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney; Trials and Tribulations.  This one explains the mysterious new prosecutor Godot, as well as Phoenix's past romance with a murderer and turned into one of my favorite stories ever in a game. 

        Crisis Core told Zack's story and his rise up to 1st class SOLDIER. (for those who know nothing of FFVII, yes, it is capitalized) Even though we all already knew the outcome of Crisis Core, it was still tear jerking when it happened after all that you went through with him.  From his beginning in SOLDIER, Angeal's transformation, Sephiroth's betrayal, and the darkness within SOLDIER as well as Genesis, whom was never even mentioned in FFVII, but was in the end of Dirge of Cerberus, I've been told.  Leaving more questions, this is where a true Sequel to FFVII is truly in order.  Something like Cloud versus the newly healed and improved Genesis.....I'd buy that.

         Now, about Phoenix Wright, this story is unbelievable, in a good way.  The first case is a flash back case to Phoenix as a college student, and suspect in murder.  His girlfriend, killed a guy and Mia was the attorney (I'm pretty sure, been a while) she was arrested. That's RIGHT! I remember now, later another flashback case of Mia's very first case in which its the same woman, but the suspect commits suicide on the stand so she gets away, with Phoenix's she is interrogated by a detective, whom she poisons like the suspect before and runs away.  The detective survives and becomes Godot.  Then the girl comes back as her sister and channels Mia and Maya's aunt to kill them, its crazy twisty, but the best buy a mile.  I have all of the Ace Attorney games and this one has the best twists and rivals some of the best novels out there.
